About Us
"Training that's stimulating, relevant ..... and fun."
Training
Following the phenomenal success of the OGC’s IT Service Management best practice framework (ITIL), aQuip International quickly recognised the market need for high quality, professional and effective ITIL training.
Formed in 2003, aQuip International has enjoyed great success in the areas of ITIL Service Management training and consulting. Our pass rates for both the Foundation and Managers Certificates have been exemplary. This is entirely due to the skills and experience of our exceptional team of trainers. Each has in depth knowledge and practical experience of a wide range of IT Service Support and Delivery disciplines. These are employed in the class room to ensure the course material is relevant to the delegates work experience.
This relevance coupled with the trainer’s ability to interact with delegates and employ a fun approach to learning helps create a relaxed environment that ensures the delegates are able and willing to absorb the material.
Locations
We offer training anywhere there is a need!
We also offer an extensive public schedule of ITIL courses in locations such as: London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin. Please refer to our Public Schedule for more details.
We would be happy to deliver training at your own location which can prove to be very cost effective for large numbers of delegates.
aQuip International have trained in many overseas locations, recently including such locations as Eire, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and the UAE (Dubai).
Consulting
As more companies and businesses adopt the ITIL methodologies and face the challenges of implementing these best practice processes, so the need and demand for highly qualified and skilled consultants has grown.
aQuip International are proud to say that they can provide the expert help and guidance to drive your business towards complete ITIL compliance.
Whether it is help with getting started, implementing a single discipline or planning the way forward to full compliance, aQuip International are the obvious choice.
All of aQuip International’s consulting services are built around IT Service Management improvement programmes. They are complementary services to our highly successful training programmes. Consulting services are based upon ITIL best practice and fall broadly into the two categories, assessment and improvement.
Assessment
The assessment services utilise our proven product aQ15, based upon ITIL and also on the BSi publications ISO 20000 and PD0015. The product incorporates a widely accepted and repeatable scoring model and leads to a practical set of recommendations. The recommendations should then be built into a Service Improvement Programme (SIP) and the success of the programme can be monitored through the scoring model.
Service Improvement
The approach to service improvement differs greatly from one organisation to another. Many companies that we work with adopt a broad approach, moving forward in small, incremental steps across several process areas; others see the need to focus on particular disciplines where they have identified shortcomings.
Service Improvement Programme Development Workshop
In a matter of days the SIP-DW will transform the 40–60 recommendations that typically emerge from an aQuip assessment into an agreed and documented programme plan. We recommend that the results be built into two documents. The SIP plan will detail the work to be undertaken in the next SIP phase. An IT Service Management Strategic Plan will put this activity into its longer term context. Implementing ITIL is a major undertaking that needs a carefully worked out, documented and communicated strategy.
Process Improvement workshops
We have also developed a structured workshop format for the development of process improvement in specific areas. In a recent one-day workshop the focus was on Service Level Management whilst in another, lasting two days, the related topics of Change, Configuration and Release Management were tackled. The format for these events includes some revision of the basic ITIL principles, an assessment of current performance and areas for improvement, identification of process improvement areas and consideration of benefits and risks.
