Service Management Assessment

'If you can't measure it - you can't manage it!'

This maxim applies whether we are talking about on-line response times, Service Desk performance or the IT Service Management organisation as a whole.

For this reason, ITIL recommends regular measurement of IT Service Management performance. This takes the form of an assessment of each Service Management discipline against best practice defined in ITIL and ISO 20000-1. The assessment can be carried out internally, using a variety of published formats and metrics, or externally using experienced consultants.

aQuip International offers assessment services based on ITIL and on the BSi PD15000 self assessment workbook. The great benefit of this approach over the internal assessment lies in the independence and the experience of the consultant.

The assessment is carried out as a snapshot of the organisation and the whole exercise can be completed within two or three weeks. Our experienced consultants will allocate a score to each of the 15 Service Management disciplines and will make recommendations on service improvement. The results of the assessment will be delivered in a written and graphical report as well as a formal presentation.

aQuip International can provide individual assessments of a particular Service Management process or any subset of the 15 Service Management disciplines.
