Process Improvement
Whatever your approach to Service Improvement we can help and can offer practical experience. aQuip consultants have extensive knowledge of all aspects of Service Management. We have also developed a structured workshop format for the development of process improvement in specific areas

Implications for the Organisation
You won’t find a page in the ITIL books that tells you how to re-structure your ICT department. They offer excellent guidance on the roles and responsibilities of process owners, some indication of obvious areas of conflict but no organisation chart. The green book, ‘Planning to Implement Service Management’ gives useful advice, particularly in relation to matrix management principles. One of the reasons why the published ITIL guidance stops there is that each organisation is different; an established public sector body with its strong relationship between Grade and authority level has less flexibility than say a commercial technology provider that has survived rapid growth and development in the last few years.

At aQuip we are familiar with the difficulties experienced by both public and private sector bodies in adapting to ITIL. We have helped many organisations with very different cultures to implement ITIL, motivating their people and developing a workable structure. The biggest challenge for many organisations is the cultural change. It takes time and effort to change peoples’ mindsets - but it will be worth the effort and we will be happy to work with you to deliver a successful improvement programme.
